ORDERING FROM AUTOLIT
 
Our "products" are unique because they are ORIGINALS. This means that we are sending our customers items that were, in many cases, printed quite some time ago. Our inventory is huge but we may not always have a specific item that is requested in your order. For this reason we DO NOT charge your order at the time of checkout. Instead, we first confirm what items are available to fill your order and only then is your payment processed based upon the actual shipping contents.
 
Please review the details concerning shipping below. In general, the shipping amount that is calculated by our online store is an estimate based upon the best guess our software can make. This is only an estimate! The actual shipping cost will be determined when your order is filled and will be shipped per your instructions at the lowest possible cost. If heavy items such as repair manuals are ordered it is possible that your shipping cost will exceed the estimate given by the online store but if the items are light, such as most color catalogs, it is likely that the actual cost will be slightly below the estimate.
 
We pride ourselves on taking the utmost care to insure that our customers receive the items they want at the lowest possible cost. If you require a final confirmation of your order's actual total prior to payment processing and shipping, please note this in the "Customer Notes" field during checkout.

NEW YORK STATE SALES TAX 
 
New York residents only, 7% to 8.5% sales tax (your local sales tax rate) will be added to your total in addition to shipping. Sorry, but by state law, your order cannot be shipped without this tax. 
 
SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES 
 
We pride ourselves on providing the safest and most cost effective means of shipping for our customers. Shipping cost will be determined upon order fulfillment based upon your selection of "standard" or "overnight" shipping preference when you checkout from our online store. The guidelines indicated below will allow you to anticipate the amount that will be added to your order total for shipping. All shipping charges include our careful packing. 
 
If you require a confirmation of the shipping total before your payment is processed, please indicate this in the field available for "comments" on the "Shopping Basket" page before selecting the "Click to Pay" button. Remember to then click the "Update Order" button before proceeding or we will not receive your comments! We will contact you by e-mail but please understand this will delay your order. 
 
US and Canada Shipping: For all types of light items which include sales literature, owner's manuals, sales brochures, magazine ads, race programs, paint chips, photographs, etc., $3.85 per order will be added for first class mail which is our "standard" shipping. For overnight delivery of light-weight items, the shipping cost added to your order will be $15.00. 
 
For orders that include one or more heavy items such as showroom albums, books, shop manuals, posters and other heavier items, $5 per order shipping and handling will be added for order totals up to $100. For order totals over $100, please anticipate the addition of 5% of your order total up to a maximum of $25 (U.S.). For Canada deliveries that include a heavier item (as listed above), we will do our best to maintain the above rates but this cannot be guaranteed. 
 
If items ordered are extremely large, framed or bulky, and we cannot maintain the shipping cost within the above guidelines, we will contact you by e-mail for confirmation prior to processing your payment. 
 
Foreign Shipping: For standard airmail shipping to non-US or Canada addresses of sales literature, owner's manuals, sales brochures, magazine ads, race programs, paint chips, photographs, and similar light-weight items, please anticipate the addition of 20% of your order total with a $5.00 minimum up to a maximum of $75.00. For posters, the shipping will be $20. Standard airmail shipment should take between two and four weeks. (We appreciate your patience). 
 
If you desire a faster shipping method or have ordered showroom albums, books, shop manuals, posters and other heavy items, we will ship by the most appropriate and cost effective method but cannot provide pricing. You are welcome to indicate that you require confirmation of shipping cost in the "Message to Include with Order" field on the "Shopping Basket" page before selecting the "Click to Pay" button. Remember to click the "Update Order" button before proceeding or we will not receive your comments! We will contact you by e-mail but please understand this will delay your order.
