1903 1904 Rambler Automobile Endurance Contest ORIGINAL Brochure Kenosha

Non color catalog, 6 x 3.5, 24 pages, this catalog has been restapled at the binding and it's torn and ragged at the binding edge, there is also rubbing and wear on the front cover, one page, which folds out has been retaped and has multiple file holes at the center with small piece missing at the bottom. "A Little History", this catalog tells the story of an October 1903 endurance race from Weehawken New Jersey to Pittsburgh Pensylvannia. The following cars were entered: Holley Oldsmobile, Rambler, Northern, Pierce, Fredonnia, Knox, Franklin, Haynes Apperson, St Lewis, Phelps, White, Pierce Arrow, Packard, Locomobile, Taledo and Columbia, the foldout chart lists all the cars with the car number & elapsed time for all the cars including Pine Hill New York, Binghamton, Bath New York, Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland, Youngstown and Pittsburgh. The Rambler #18 driven by Arthur Gardiner completed the run ahead of many more expensive vehicles. Rambler #17 also was in the run, there are four photos of the Rambler plus an illustration on the back cover of the factory. Also included are several interesting testimonial letters from August 1903. In addition there are four pages of Extracts from Automobile Magazine describing the successful accomplishment of the Rambler. The Rambler was awarded 6th place. This is one of the earliest Rambler catalogs printed.

Part color folder, 7.5 x 10 folded, 30 x 20, opens to a poster, has several small pieces of tape at tears at folds, there are two small holes at the folds, each is about a 1/4 x 1/4 inch, has a pen notation, there is a label on the front cover "Historical File, Do Not Destroy, Nash-Kelvinator Corporation Public Relations Department " (this label is from Nash Factory files), there is also a small label taped on at the corner about 1.5 x .5 inch "1910 Rambler and another file stamp "Historical File, Do Not Destroy." When opened, this brochure makes a spectacular poster and could be framed, shows a Model 53 HP Touring and Model 45 45HP Touring as well as a Rambler chassis, the back of the folder includes several testimonial letters and many small photos showing inside the Rambler factory.
